In this science course, the student will explore the animal kingdom. They will learn about living things and the features of living things; the differences between invertebrates and vertebrates; the 3 different families of animals which are invertebrates: crustaceans, arachnids and insects; the 5 different familes of animals which are vertebrates: reptiles, amphibians and fish, and mammals and birds; and what diets different animals follow and eat based on the appearance of their teeth.
This course comprises of six lessons and is designed for students in the kindergarten stage up to Grade 1. It combines education and fun in the form of several pieces of interactive content dispersed throughout the various lessons.
At the end of this course the student should be recall what is a living thing and it’s features; know the difference between invertebrates and vertebrates; and be able to identify animals from the different animal families.
