This science course is designed to give the student an in-depth look at plants through an exploration of their necessity to the cycle of life and each stage of the plant’s own life cycle.
During the series of lessons, the student will learn to identify the parts of a plant and confirm what they need to grow properly.
They will learn how plants transport water internally and how they’ve adapted to survive in hot and cold environments.
A special emphasis is placed on identifying the flowering parts of the plant and their functions.
This course comprises of six lessons and is designed for students in grades 4 to 6. It combines education and fun in the form of several pieces of interactive content dispersed throughout the various lessons. It introduces the student to the concept of variables and setting up simple experiments.
At the end of this course the student should be able to identify and define some of the processes that takes place within a plant:; identify a plant’s parts and their functions and describe some of the ways plants have adapted to live in some of the planets more uninviting places.
